Glad to be Home
After a long weekend, I’m finally back to you. Here is a few songs that I really enjoyed listening to over the last couple of days.
First up a track by Ghostly International‘s Shigeto. His whole record, entitled Lineage is of a very high standard, but I decided to feature the title track because I’m really into the rhythm, which I found to be reminiscent of the guiro rhythm found in my beloved cumbia.
Next up is Evenings remix off the Shlohmo (Remixes) EP, which I think far surpasses the original. So dope.
Shlohmo – Wen Uuu (Evenings Remix)
This moving piece of electronic music verging on lo-fi, by Terracotta Blue, is a perfect song to be outside in the evening to. For me it provides a pretty defined image of cold air biting at my skin and the outlines of trees against the sky. I find it a very visual piece of music.
Terracotta Blue – Hallow’s Eve
That’s it for now. See you in a little while.
